The Next Mural...a Big Butterfly

Earlier this year I spent several weeks working on a mural, Building Life, which is permanently covering the outside of Caroline Collective.  It was a great opportunity to have several other artists assist in helping me create my largest painting yet!  Since the completion of the mural, I've been a little hesitant to get back into painting.  Part of the reason is that I do all my own marketing, newsletters, social media and more.  Those things take up a lot of time.  But the main reason I've been hesitant to continue my current KIDS series is that I really wanted to do another mural sized painting.

I have been creating new work, but on a much smaller scale.  One series I just completed was of Butterflies.
If your'e wondering Why?  Check out the link.  It explains it all.

Over the past month, I've been working on finding a place to do another large mural.
And...as of this past weekend...that place has been found!
I won't give it away now.  I'm going to wait until the installation begins before making any announcements.
I will say this.  For those of you in Houston, you will be seeing a very large butterfly come to life very soon.

It will be somewhere along Washington Avenue.

As soon as I start the mural, I will let you the location.
And as far as working with other artists, this time the only person assisting me will be my lovely girlfriend.
I'm looking to complete the image in one weekend, just as long as the weather doesn't change too much.
For those of you in Houston, you know how easily that can happen.
